Walmart ditching doorbusters, starting store deals at 6 p.m. for Thanksgiving
Walmart takes a different approach to ease shopping for its customers during the most excited holiday season of the year. Thanksgiving door buster sale is one thing that the shoppers look forward to, and several retail chains try to provide their consumers with best deals to make sure they are using the correct marketing strategy to attract their valued customers.
Walmart took a new twist by skipping the “door buster” tradition and by giving their customers access to the exciting deals all at once. These deals were made available in-store as well as online. They also provided “one hour guarantee deal”, which offered deals on five products (electronics) and ensured it was given to anyone in the store queue between 6-7pm.
By skipping the door buster tradition, Walmart is relieving their customer from the inconvenience which is generally caused during this crazed shopping event. By studying the current as well as previous shopping trends, keeping the most sold items in stock and skipping the rolling out of hourly deals is allowing Walmart to provide their customers with a single platform to have the best shopping experience. This opportunity will prevent customers from being in a confused situation of finding items and also avoid any risk of losing their selected items.
Walmart also made sure that its app was updated and it could be easily used by customers. In other words, stocking appropriate products in store, updating website and its app for easier use, assuring delivery of purchased products before Christmas and by providing the deals all at once, Walmart has taken a huge leap to challenge the traditional marketing policies and in an ensuring easy shopping…...

By 1969 it was incorporated into Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., and in 1972 went public on the New York Stock Exchange. The company grew steadily across the United States, and by 1990 was the nation's largest retailer. In 1991 and 1994, Wal-Mart moved into Mexico and Canada respectively. By 1997 it was incorporated into the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
