Tranditional vs Online Retailer

...TRANDITIONAL VS ONLINE RETAILER MGMT310-1205B-01 Pamela Kruse January 13, 2013 Abstract: As we all know the internet has created many ways for companies to do business online. In this paper I will discuss the differences between traditional and online retailers. I will also discuss what advice I would give a traditional retailer to switch to an online retail organization. Traditional Retailer is called a building that is of brick and mortar store. This means that the customer will walk or drive to the store to do their shopping. A good location for these stores would be around a shopping center; this is a foot traffic place. The retailer will also advertise to attract more customers in that area as well. A traditional retailer will have to pay rent, heat, light, and of course insurance bills. The retail store will also have to keep merchandise in the stores for the customers to buy; this will need space and storage to where they will not run out of merchandise. The retail store in order to get customers to come and keep coming must have a good store front. That means neat appearance along with good advertisement that will invite the customer to come shop. Online retailer can reach people all over the world, but you will need to set up a good ecommerce site so people find you. This can be done by making sure promoting the website through links like shopping directories, and social network sites. Online retailers have lower overhead costs than traditional retailer.......

Online vs. Retail Shopping

...Online vs. Retail Shopping Online vs. Retail Shopping Once upon a time there was no such thing as the internet. Everything you needed and wanted had to be purchased in person. Now days you can sit in the comfort of your home, place of work, car, or even the local coffee shop and purchase most things through the internet. Is this the new frontier of shopping, or will there still be a place for a walk-in retail store. I have seen a lot of retail stores close and I am constantly wondering if it is because of on-line shopping. In the days before the internet any shopping you needed to do had to be accomplished by physically going out to the store that had the item you wanted. Fighting traffic, getting to the store early for the best sale, scrambling to get an item of limited quantity, these were the glory days for retail stores. These days you can purchase most anything you want or need without leaving the comfort of your home. Furniture, electronics, clothes, toys, and even groceries can all be purchased online and delivered right to your door. More and more people turn on their computers and shop for what they need instead of going out and braving the crowds in the retail stores. “Online retail sales aren’t growing at the torrid pace they once were, but they continue to grow steadily. Forrester Research put out a new five-year forecast today predicting that e-commerce sales in the U.S. will keep growing at a 10 percent compound annual growth rate through 2014....

Online vs Traditional

...The Comparison Between Online and Traditional Classes Kayla Staples National American University Kayla Staples EN1550 Online vs Traditional Classes There are many different pros and cons to taking online classes versus traditional in class classes. A counselor or teacher is someone that could help a student determine which type of classes best fits the student. Before deciding on such a big decision, a student must first take into consideration how disciplined they are as a student to get their work done. Discipline as a student is a number one factor when it comes to deciding on a online or a traditional class room class. Being an online student takes a lot of discipline because you do not have someone standing there telling you exactly how to do your work. You also do not have someone there who can help you right away with questions you may have on your assignment. An online student needs to be organized and able to complete tasks on a certain deadline without being reminded daily. Being a traditional class student could be a better route for someone who does not have much discipline outside of the classroom. While being in class, you have to get your work done in a certain time and you have that time to do it in class. You teacher and peers are in class with you if you ever get in a stump on an assignment and need to ask questions. Flexibility is another factor that needs to come into play when a student decides on which type of class to take. If a......

In fact, within the United States, 6.7 million students enrolled in at least one online course in fall 2011—an increase of more than 500,000 students compared to 2010.  What is the big difference in online versus traditional education? “Each student learns differently and in today's era of increasing technology, the question will not be whether to offer classes online, but rather how to implement them,” says Allison Hiltz, a former online and traditional education student who writes for The Book Wheel Blog. There are several options when it comes to online or traditional education degrees. The platform offers everything from certificates and diplomas to more advanced degree options such as an associate or bachelor’s degree. With constant changes in technology from all different degree programs, let’s take a look at the advantages to an online versus traditional education and examine how each type of education impacts you as a student. Online vs. traditional education: flexibility One of the key components to consider when weighing the options is the amount of time you have everyday to work on your degree. Are you willing and able to attend college full-time or do you need more flexibility for your busy schedule? Flexibility was a major concern for Casey Horton, a graduate of sociology and psychology from Ashford University. Horton, a working adult, needed an online program because of the......

...2015, (Use Date Proposal is Due) Online Education vs Traditional Education The topic that I am choosing for this assignment is Online Education vs Traditional classroom education. I am choosing this because I am in both online classes and in classroom. I plan to retrieve information from 100 random students at Parkland College to determine which one they see as more fit for them and find an all-around idea to see if the new age of technology is over weighing our traditional ways of in classroom experience. The Value of This Topic in Respect to My Future This topic evolves education and how the students think of education. By doing this it could help me in the future to better understanding my students and better educated them. Finding out what the students do best, could help me as a teacher by making my job easier. Online vs on-Campus Class

...Online Education vs. On-campus COM/170 3/9/2015 Online Education vs. On-campus Online classes require a lot of responsibilities, but give students the time and space that he or she needs. (Paul, 2003) Most universities now offer a plethora of on-campus courses for students to choose from. However, many students are not able to take campus-based courses due to distance or timetabling limitations. An important option for such students has always been distance education; Sometimes students ask the question if online classes are better than on-campus classes, and because they do not do the necessary research, their lack of information put them away from something that could be helpful for them and can make a big difference. Even though students must be a self-starter, online education is better than on-campus education because of learning style flexibility, cost, and accessibility. To start with, the online class offers students learning style flexibility because it gives students the freedom to choose where and when they want to study. Students that decide to take online classes can study from where they want, which means that they have a comfortable learning environment. They can be in their aunt’s house and can study from there, or they could be working and take their fifteen minutes break and can study on those fifteen minutes break. Online class gives the student the facility that they need when they are working. Also, if they have other responsibilities that......

Online vs. Traditional Education

...Online Vs. Traditional Education Interested in pursuing higher education? Well, universities have made it possible for students to have different options when earning a degree. Students now have the option of attending online courses or traditional courses. The option of these two classrooms are completely up to the student, and it is important to choose wisely and consider the type of lifestyle the student lives. When it is time to draw a conclusion about choosing an online class or a traditional class there are many components to consider, such as comparing the advantages and disadvantages of each class. Flexibility is an imperative factor that students need to consider when deciding which type of courses to attend. Online classes can provide flexibility for students because they can work at their pace in an effort to complete any and all academic responsibilities. Students have the luxury of choosing when they want to work on completing academic responsibilities, and when to meet deadlines for the course. Online course provides the ability to be accessible at all times, but the work that required is expected to be quality work. Traditional classes can also be flexible depending on the times and days that the student selects to attend courses. Universities are now providing more night classes and early morning classes for the working and family-oriented students. Some traditional classes provide more lecturing and sometimes are more hands on in order to teach the......

Online vs. Traditional Schooling

...Online Vs. Traditional Schooling Sarah Ann Weinkertz COM/170 7/17/2014 Korijna Valenti There is a long standing debate whether online or traditional schooling is more effective. What people do not realize is that online and traditional schooling are actually quite similar once you look at the material, curriculum, and the instructors teaching the classes. The instructors for online and traditional classes teach the same curriculum, using different techniques to give the students the information that they need. Online and traditional classes do of course have their differences such as the environment the students are working in, the time they get to do everything they need to, the communication between the students with the teachers, and financial obligations. Online schools follow the same curriculum as traditional schools do, providing the students just as respectable an education as a traditional school's education. Communication between students and instructors tends to differ between online schooling and tradition schooling. When someone is attending school online they have to realize that the communication will be limited; the professor may not be online or available when the student is actually needing the help. This is similar to traditional school, varying in that connecting with an instructor is through online contact in comparison to the possibility of an in-person meeting that is typically available......

Shopping Online vs in Store

...Online vs. In Store Clothing Shopping In today’s world, clothing shopping has become a way of life for most people. Searching for clothes has become common every day of the week. People shop on the weekends, at work, and even in the comfort of their own beds. In store and online shopping for clothes may seem similar; however, they have many aspects that differentiate the two. For years, the only way to shop for clothes was physically going to the store and purchasing the item in person. However, in recent years a new kind of shopping has boosted product sales by the billions. The internet provides a twenty-four hour, seven day a week shopping center available to anyone. Online shopping is a fast way to look for a specific item that fits a consumer’s wants or needs. Searching an online store eliminates the hassle of looking through an endless rack of clothes in attempt to find a certain item. The majority of online stores have an abundance of different sizes in clothing while in store they may only have one size that does not suit a person’s needs. Another benefit of online shopping is the pleasure of shopping from your own home and not having to drive to the store. Online shopping can be done anywhere that has an internet connection. This means no more waiting in long checkout lines that are filled with grumpy people or taking multiple circles around the parking lot in attempts to park. If someone is from a small town, they may not have the luxury shopping center that......

Online vs. Traditional Education

...Lindsay Hartman Lynn McClelland ENG 101 29 February 2016 Online vs. Traditional Education During the final year of high school, the pressure of going to college is at its peak. Drilling into our heads that, college is the best route to go after high school if we want to have a “bright” future. No doubt majority of students go to college directly after, but some end up waiting to go later on. Fortunately, there are other options available today for those who had to wait to go. Online schooling, the ability to get a higher education online, without the traditional classroom setting. Now the burning question, just how much better is online learning anyway? There are many factors in determining whether the online route or the traditional way is better. Things like the cost of education, the academic performance of students, or the environment you wish to learn. Let’s dig a bit deeper to find out just what the facts will prove! The thing today that most people think about before making their decision about which way to go, is the environment that would best suite their current life situations. For instance, “students who freely choose online classes may have different characteristics, like they may be older, or have children, or are employed full time” (Dr. Stack 2015 Learning outcomes in an online vs traditional course pa.9). It is this flexibility that makes it possible for people with these characteristics to get a higher education. Just think about it, if......

Paper vs. Online Recruitment

...Running head: PAPER VS. ONLINE RECRUITMENT Paper vs. Online Recruitment Troy University - ETroy Human Resource Development MGT 4483 T2/11 Tracy Rockwell, MSHRM, MPA December 15, 2011 Paper vs. Online Recruitment Human Resource Development (HRD) should be proactive and future oriented; therefore, I chose this topic because of the demand to recruit potential applicants via the internet. A vast number of companies are requiring applicants to apply online; this is the only way for an individual to submit the application and/or resume. Applying online is one of the fastest ways to recruit and has proven to be a benefit to the company because it saves paper, money, time and trees (environmental friendly). With this favorable practice, applicants must know how to successfully apply for a job online. Each company has their own process; therefore, it’s important for applicants to receive information and instructions on how to meet the hiring company requirements. Meeting their hiring requirements can be the result of whether or not the person will be considered for the job. An applicant applying online has been identified as an analytic need for companies because it enhances their hiring process. These needs are generally perceived by intuition, insight, or expert consideration. The need exist on an organizational, task, and person analysis level of need. The organizational analysis suggests where in the company training is needed and under what conditions it will...

Today, there are more options available for those choosing to further their education past high school than there was when I was a teenager. For many years, traditional education has been the choice of most students going to school, but now that online education is available, students are beginning to take that route. There are still a few doubts about the acceptance of online degrees, but whether traditional or online education, they can both be beneficial and rewarding, depending on the time you have, the amount of money you want to spend, and your own learning abilities. Traditional vs. Online Education Traditional Education Traditional education is going to classes in a classroom setting with other students and an instructor on hand for face-to-face interaction. Students have to attend those classes in a designated place, at specific dates and times. They may have to attend lectures and go......
