Bus 475 Strategic Plan

...Prior to the Grand Opening, there are countless tasks that must be accomplished by a business. The greatest item that must be completed is the planning. When a business spends a great deal of time and effort towards forming a strategic plan, their odds of surviving in the real world are hopeful. My fictional business idea is a Crossfit gym that provides a tremendous workout to people of all ages while focusing on younger kids and older adults. Crossfit is a fitness company founded in 2000 and is much different from most gyms. According to Thurmond (2009), “The prescription for CrossFit calls for three things: constant variation, high intensity and functional movement. By switching up your regular fitness routine, you keep your body constantly guessing the next move. In short, it's the cure for the common workout”. A Crossfit gym involves a great deal of cardio workouts and weight lifting, in a very competitive, yet friendly, atmosphere. Crossfit workouts can be extremely intense, but each workout can bea altered to fit the needs of each person. Whether it is starting at a low weight load, or using bands to be able to do certain workouts, Crossfit can be well-suited for any individual and does not discriminate against gender, age, or skin color. The gym will be known as Crossfit for All and will focus on bringing families closer through Crossfit. Crossfit allows people to be the best they can be in terms of fitness. Different from a regular Crossfit gym, our audience is......

The company has made a huge shift in the development of offering digital sports products that will bring them closer to their customer. In 2012 Nike introduced FuelBand it is a wristband that tracks the athletes energy output, the goal is to work in concert with the athlete by understanding what they need for optimum performance and supply that demand. Nike’s pricing strategy makes use of vertical integration in pricing wherein they own participants at differing channel levels or take part in more than one channel level operations. This can control costs and influence product pricing. (Goldman S, 2000, pp154) The pricing of footwear has been structured to be competitive with other shoe retailers, but Nike strategist has focused on consumers who embrace product intimacy. Many of their customers are infatuated with their brand and do not mind paying a higher price for their shoes. Nike has capitalized on the consumers that relate higher price with higher quality. Size and style does affect pricing none the less, the swoosh on the side means higher quality so they will pay a higher price. That fact still remains that Nike customers believe they make a good product for the price. Nike has......

...Strategic Plan Part 1: Conceptualizing a Business BUS/475 Integrated Business April 9, 2015 Strategic Plan, Part 1: Conceptualizing a New Business Introduction When I say " Pappadeaux Restaurant," many envision the many delicious mouth watering cuisines that this restaurant is so famous for. The Pappas trade name is a southern powerhouse, notorious for nourishing individuals and families by the masses for approximately 39 years. Founders Chris and Harris Pappas, according to their website, …were encouraged to avoid the restaurant industry and given warnings about its long hours and unpredictable schedules. The brothers managed to stay away – for a little while. Harris earned a finance degree from Texas A&M University and served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Chris received a degree in engineering from the University of Texas and took a job at IBM computers. But the lure of the restaurant biz proved too strong for both brothers. Soon, Harris found himself managing his father Jim's first restaurant, the Dot Coffee Shop, only to be followed shortly by Chris who stepped in at his brother's request. (About Us, 2015) The initial restaurant started by Chris and Harris was The Strawberry Patch. This was only the beginning. As of today the brothers currently own and control virtually 100 restaurants in as many as seven states. Pappadeaux is one of nine trade names. So everyone will be happy with something from which Pappas offer. Their food ranges from Tex-Mex......
