abstract

A strong car brand can create significant value in the automotive industry. The price consumers expect to pay for otherwise identical luxury vehicles can vary as much as $4,000, depending on the car's brand. For mass-market cars, brand helps determine which products a consumer considers buying. Furthermore, superior brands extend their halo across every model of vehicle within the brand. It's no surprise that most auto manufacturers make brand positioning and development a key item on their marketing agenda. Because of the prominent role that brand positioning and development play in many auto manufacturers' business strategies, this research has been conducted under extensive research and analysis to better understand how consumers think about car brands. The study analyzes the set of factors which provide valuable insights into consumer brand perceptions.

The consumers have a simple yet sophisticated understanding of what differentiates car brands. Notwithstanding automakers' attempts to distinguish their brands on the basis of lifestyle or emotional imagery, consumers evaluate brands in terms of their earned reputation for product excellence relative to their total ownership cost. Consumers' perceptions are based on their accumulated direct and…...

...Term Papers COMPARING APA FORMAT IN A RESEARCH/LAB REPORT AND A TERM PAPER? WHAT IS THE SAME? * Margins (one inch) * Rules regarding quotations (long and short) * Rules for citations * Rules for references * Rules for page numbers * Rules for title page WHAT IS DIFFERENT?
Parts * In a lab/research report, you test people/animals to collect data. You then statistically analyze that data and draw conclusions. Because you must report all these activities, a lab/research report must have a Methods, Results and Discussion section. * Term papers are usually about other people's research. Since you do not test people or animals yourself, you do NOT need a Methods, Results or Discussion section. Introduction * In a lab/research report, the introduction must explain what question your data will answer and how your study will help build a body of scientific knowledge. Because of this, the introduction of a lab/research report briefly describes related research by other people (that is, a literature review with citations).. * The introduction in a term paper is more like the Abstract of a lab/research report. It is an overview of the entire paper. In a term paper the literature review (with citations) is found mostly in the body of the paper.

...have we accommodated the latest software for capturing plagiarism? The reason is quite simple. Student example papers can be of different types (example essay papers, example term papers, example research papers, example theses and example dissertations) and students can use example papers in almost all academic subjects. Most commonly example papers online turn out to be APA example papers, MLA example papers, and MBA example papers. Whenever there is a need of student example papers, a simple research can show you a load of free downloads, but you should know that it is all risky and you should not drive your academic career to a dead end. As a matter of principle student example papers such as example essays, example research papers, example term papers and example theses/dissertations can never inspire students to work harder. But custom written papers give students ideas and they can attempt to write the paper with little effort. Only specially written papers, but not free examples of papers, can give you guidelines on how to write your own papers. It is strongly believed that when students look through example papers, none of the new thoughts or ideas can be further generated on the topic. Thus such practice is claimed to be unsuccessful. Example papers (whether it is an essay paper example, research paper example, example of a term paper, thesis paper example or example of a dissertation) create work thieves not geniuses. For......

...Hinrichs says, “Alan brings infectious energy. This is a person people want to follow.” Mulally wrote a one-page summary of his managerial abilities. Titled “Alan's Leadership,” it includes “proven successful leader … business acumen and judgment … steady … true North.” It also lists some less quantifiable traits: “expects the very best of himself and others, seeks to understand rather than to be understood.” Few other CEOs have made such a list public. Bill Ford sums Mulally up this way: “Alan is not a very complicated person. He is very driven.” Prior to arriving at Ford, Mulally studied up on Ford like a student cramming for an exam, interviewing dozens of employees, analysts, and consultants. He filled five binders with typed notes. The research allowed him to develop a strategy about the auto business that now influences all of his decisions. His strategy draws heavily from his experience at Boeing: Focus on the Ford brand (“nobody buys a house of brands”); compete in every market segment with carefully defined products (small, medium, and large; cars, utilities, and trucks); market fewer products (40 worldwide by 2013, down from 97 worldwide in 2006); and become best in class in quality, fuel efficiency, safety, and value. To let everyone know what he had in mind, Mulally created plastic cards with four goals on one side (“Expected Behaviors”) and a revised definition of the company (“One Ford”) on the other. The expected behaviors are: * Foster Functional and......

5 Research Questions for the Term Paper.

...5 Research Questions for the Term Paper. CIS-512 Andrew Dick Dr. Hamid Gooda 1. The first question of the five is about Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) processors. AMD is known for their processors, however, their line of products that they have stems even further now. In the microprocessors division they have the Athlon variety, X2, K10, X2, AMD Opteron (Miller, 2010), are the specific microprocessors that they have. They also offer servers. The processors of the Opteron are the processors that are available. AMD also offers motherboards to their users as well The AMD Crossfire series are available in this line along with many others. AMD recently acquired a leading video card manufacturer and is promising more advanced video capabilities coded into new versions of their motherboards. It also offers software and memory solutions for businesses. AMD is said to offer the same basic product as Intel, however, at a cheaper price. Intel is established as the market leader in producing motherboards and processing chips for personal computers, and their prices and development have influenced AMD from the start (Miller, 2010), AMD actually produces "clones" of Intel products as well as their own specific line of chips and motherboards as explained above. The AMD Athlon XP processor runs very close to an Intel 4 processor and it is about half the price (Miller, 2010). For example, if a side-by-side comparison is used between the AMD Athlon 64 X2(939) and the Intel Core 2......

...TL 038 INNOVATION PROJECT MANAGEMENT: A RESEARCH AGENDA SERGEY FILIPPOV; HERMAN MOOI DELFT UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, DEPARTMENT OF INNOVATION SYSTEMS RESEARCHER AT DELFT CENTRE FOR PROJECT MANAGEMENT (THE NETHERLANDS) Abstract th Originally developed in the mid-20 century, project management has become a distinctive way to manage business activities nowadays. Another important development is virtually universal recognition of the role of innovation and technology in the corporate change, growth and profitability. It is unsurprising that development of innovation is often run as a project. Yet, theoretically both project management and innovation studies have evolved over time as distinctively separate disciplines. In this paper we make an attempt to conceptualise the innovation project management and to specify the idiosyncratic nature of innovation projects as opposed to conventional projects. By doing so, we contribute to the nascent academic debate on the interplay between innovation and project management. Key words: project management, innovation, technology 1. Introduction This paper is concerned with three topics and the interplay between them, namely “Innovation”, “Research and Development (R&D)” and “Project Management”. The interest in these topics has exploded recently as they emerged both on the policy agenda and in the corporate strategies. The contribution of technological innovation to national economic growth has been well established......
