Music Producing

...helping to select songs to contracting with session players, selecting the studio and engineers, booking studio time and overseeing the recording budget. All these responsibilities require musical skill and performance experience, combined with a thorough knowledge of musical genres, music and sound production in a recording studio. Some music producers work for record labels producing for recording artists under contract, while others produce sound recordings for movies, television shows, music videos, commercials or video games. And while many are full-time employees, others are self-employed. That type of music career means you also need to be adept at running your own business. The first task of a record producer is to collaborate with an artist to select songs for the album, whether written by the artist or by another songwriter. The producer may participate in the rehearsal process and may hire an arranger to add parts to some songs, or begin making beats and picking possible samples. The Producer selects a studio, sets a recording time, chooses an engineer, and enlists the services of session musicians and background vocalists where needed. During the recording session, the record producer works closely with the recording engineer to perfect each track, decides when to do retakes, and adds his or her own trademark to the song. The final mix of the album is under the supervision of the producer, and he or she makes decisions on the order of songs on the......

...smile. I've watched you sleeping for a while. I'd be the father of your child. I'd spend a lifetime with you. I know your fears and you know mine. We've had our doubts but now we're fine, And I love you, I swear that's true. I cannot live without you. Goodbye my lover. Goodbye my friend. You have been the one. You have been the one for me. And I still hold your hand in mine. In mine when I'm asleep. And I will bare my soul in time, when I'm kneeling at your feet. Goodbye my lover. Goodbye my friend. You have been the one. You have been the one for me. I'm so hollow, baby, I'm so hollow. I'm so, I'm so, I'm so hollow. I'm so hollow, baby, I'm so hollow. I'm so, I'm so, I’m so hollow STORY BEYOND THE SONG I read the song as the goodbye of a man to his girlfriend and to his best friend since he’s not alive anymore. My dialogue intends to be the conversation between the two guys that have just lost one of the most important people in their life. In a completely different context from the pact, Julie as Rameck will need to move on without her beloved....

Song

...The song Temporary Home was featured on Carrie Underwood’s hit album Play On that was released in October of 2009. This song had no impact on me at all until March of 2010. One of my dearest friends, Breanna Nicole Barber, was in a motorcycle dirt bike accident. She fell off of the bike hitting her head causing major brain damage. She was a vegetable and was taken off of life support. Her funeral was several days later and it was really the most unbelievable thing that has ever happened to me. They played Temporary Home at her funeral. I knew what a temporary home meant to me. It meant that one day I’d be at my final destination and that would be heaven. In these next few paragraphs I will reinforce the word ‘temporary’. I’ll describe to you my idea of why Carrie Underwood addresses 3 different stages of life. The word ‘temporary’ is specifically reinforced numerous times throughout the song. Carrie uses phrases like, “house that will never be a home”, “nowhere to go”, “passing through”, and “just a stop”. We have a clear understanding of most of these things and that they intend on being for a short period of time. [What about these words/phrases?] Carrie introduces three different stages of life throughout the song. First she mentions a little boy who is in foster care that keeps getting moved and placed in homes that feel unwelcoming to him. Then she mentions a single mom that needs help, has a baby, and practically has nothing. Lastly she mentions an......

Song of Songs

...Song of Songs Rabbi Aqiba once said that “For in all the world there is nothing to equal the day on which the Song of Songs was given to Israel, for all the writings are Holy, but the Song of Songs is the Holy of Holies.” (Davidson) This statement is made in regards to whether or not the book “Song of Songs” is to be included in the canon on the Bible. This book is a collection of songs and love poetry between two lovers. This book can be considered as an allegory of human sexuality, or divine love. However, there is no direct mention of the Divine Presence anywhere within the book. Even the Jewish Rabbis with the most understanding of biblical concepts regarding sexuality have trouble agreeing that a book of seemingly secular love poetry should be included in the sacred canon.(Davidson) When Aqiba said the Song of Songs was the Holy of Holies, he probably intended that to mean that the Song was detailed symbolism of the historical relationship between Yahweh (the Divine Presence) and the people of Israel from the Exodus to the coming of the Messiah.(Davidson) During the time, sexual feelings were considered pagan and evil. Some Christian allegorists believe that the author (or authors) of the songs wrote in a way that disguised sexual expressing as a yearning for God. Most scholars believe that the authors purposely wrote about yearning for God in an incredibly sexual way to further imply the strong emotions behind said yearning. These songs are regardless a type of......

The Song of the Vineyard

...ancient song sung by the prophet about your vineyard. Let your Holy Spirit guide us through this lesson and the study of your Holy Word. Amen. As we delve into this particular passage of Scripture you will notice that Isaiah weaves the two basic themes of judgment and salvation interchangeably throughout the accounts recorded in this prophecy. By using the agrarian image of the vineyard, in these two pericopes (which are sections of a whole), Isaiah makes a perfect case in point of God’s continued grace in the accomplishment of His divine will in all circumstances. Summary Statement: The objective of this lesson is to understand Isaiah’s creative use of the prophetic language in this image of the vineyard in order to teach the Church that through God’s judgment, which is richly deserved by all, they can be comforted to experience God’s overwhelming grace and salvation. The Parable Explained There are many different views when it comes to identifying the genre, or literary type, of this prophecy. The majority of which lie in how the original language and to be more precise how each particular term used by the prophet is translated and understood. According to the scholars this pericope has an abundance of “word plays…. [Used] to proclaim Yahweh’s message.” Isaiah has a difficult message to push to those he is ministering to and in order to get their undivided attention “he presents himself as a minstrel” and creatively crafts this parable in the innocent form of a......

The Song

...The song "where Is the Love?" written by will.i.am, Taboo, apl.de.ap, with help of others such as Ron Fair, and recorded by the American hip-hop group The Black Eyed Peas. In this song, The Black Eyed Peas lament on various issues in the World, such as terrorism, racism, hypocrisy about the U.S. government, war, pollution, intolerance, and greed. I choose this song because as I was watching this music video, I thought that there are lots of worldwide issues that make our world disharmony and difficulty. I think the video describes nowadays world. Today the world is corrupted and vicious. There is at least a hundred murder cases in a day, happenings dealing with terrors and discrimination occur all around the world almost every second. It is easier to find hypocrisy and racism than peace and love. Furthermore, media and government highly influence people. For example, in the music video, children are playing violent games likely to act what they see in the media. Also, false information from media and government give negative images. I believe the mostly impacted for all corruptions of the world is our children, the next generation. In my opinion, people should be honest and try to make our world peaceful and lovable for our future generations. This is my interpretations of the first verse of lyrics. The question mark that appears in the intro of the song represents “Where is the love?” in the world. The first and second line of the first verse ‘What's wrong with......

...The song I choose to do was “ Runaway Love” by Ludacris ft. Mary J. Blige. The song focuses on three different scenarios dealing with young girls from the ages of 9-11. For the first scenario it focuses on a nine year old whose mother had many different men in her life. Throughout the men who go in and out of her mother life they are sexually abusing her. She tells her mother what is happening, but her mother does not believe her. The second scenario is about an eleven year old who is being beat by her alcoholic father and only had one friend who understands her. Walking home from school one day the friend is shot by a drive by bullet. Now she is left alone because that’s was the only person she had. On the last scenario an eleven year old is doing drugs and being sexually active with males that are older. She knows if her mom finds out she will go crazy. The sum of the three stories are these young girls are going through situation where they wish they could runaway and just forget everything that has happened. The race that the song is mainly directed towards all nationalities because these things can happen to anyone. Accent- slang speaking in a way that a more African American audience would understand Gender- targeted to mainly females Class- lower class which is the poor because all the situation the parents were struggling financially or had some type of situation...

...Limp Bizkit's jam! Limp Bizkit played their best hits as well as the songs from the early career. Rap-metal charge of Limp Bizkit reacted with the energy of the crowd, and detonated with the two-hour blast. The sound of band’s live performance was worth of praise. It was as close as possible to the studio recordings. The volume was arranged perfectly, therefore, it was easy to hear every beat from any corner of the auditorium. There was no headache and temporary deafness as sometimes happens after the performance of rock bands. Each member of the band was worth of compliments and endless praise. There was no doubt about the mastery of Limp Bizkit. This band has gone through thousands of shows during 20 years of their career and they know exactly how to interact with the audience. The energy was oozing through the artists allowing fans to get rid of all negativity and enjoy the good vibes the band was sending. The guitarist, Wes Borland, expressed himself through the air tearing guitar riffs and expressive gestures, giving the audience an example of how to behave on the Limp Bizkit's shows. Sam Rivers tormented his LED bass. After the concert, the fans referred to John Otto as “the god of thunder” because of his flawless drum performance. Fred Durst showed himself as first-class front man who is able to stir up the crowd with one word or one shout. A roll call with the audience during the song “Livin 'It Up” (It'll eat a hole - what? Down inside of me - what?......

|Producing a Promotional Strategy

...|Producing a Promotional Strategy | |What is a promotional strategy? | |Most of us are familiar with market research as suppliers (or information providers) try to obtain information from us (or library users) | |on what we require. Promotion is the reverse side of this. Organisations use promotion to communicate with customers about products they | |offer. Promotion is thus one half of the communication process with customers. Ideally it will work co-operatively with market research (in| |an iterative feedback loop) so that the constantly changing requirements of users are met by promotional activities that target (or even | |anticipate) these expressed needs. | | | |Such activities need to be managed. They require the allocation and expenditure of resources, whether physical (promotional products) or | |intangible (staff time or use of existing facilities).
