I had a great experience throughout the period of the training. My co-trainees, the whole staff of the restaurant and I shared many precious moments that made my whole training not only insightful but memorable as well.

We had hard times, with my classmates Jenny, Joy and I, searching and submitting our resumes to the restaurants in Glorietta 3, finally the restaurant DADS Ultimate Buffet includes Kamayan and Saisaki accepted as to be their trainee. We were so happy that time for at last our hard time was over. The assistant supervisor, Mr. Nel Santos interviewed us and at the same time state the requirements we had to pass but my classmate joy couldn’t be able to come with us for some reason. After complying the requirements, Jenny and I had already started our training after we were briefed about the whole operations of the restaurant. My first day was draining, horrifying and ugly. It was not what I was expecting and it was not what I used to do. I hate the people, I hate what I was doing and I was like I was really, really looking forward to my 400th hour of my training. My first day passed by. When I arrived at my aunt’s house I couldn’t even step my feet any longer and the feeling was not very well. In the next day, I woke up at 9:30 in the morning and that time I was thinking if I can survive doing these things for almost 2 months. My second day became more horrible than my first because my co-trainees as well as the other staffs were a bit irritable. The days gone by and in stages I mastered and memorized almost the whole operation of the restaurant.

I was actually assigned at almost every sections of the restaurant. Busting out, taking orders, serving foods in dining area and of course I also experience handling customer complaints but I learned that when it comes to guests complaints you shouldn’t just cry instead you have to entertain complaints…...

...learning is a never ending process and there is always a scope for improvising things. Now I would like to mention one such instance. I was in class IX when I was nominated by my class teacher for a debate. I was pretty much excited and prepared well for the topic and rehearsed well in front of the mirror since it was my debut in the field of public speaking. But when the D-Day arrived and I was supposed to speak, I became completely blank. I feel it was because of 500 odd eyes staring at me due to which I became nervous and forgot everything I prepared. I could manage a little and spoke something which wasn’t much relevant and systematic according to the flow I thought to present. I felt embarrassed in front of the whole class and was dejected. Then I felt a need to work on my public speaking because I felt that a successful person needs to be a good orator. Then I consistently use to participate in such activities because it was a problem that can be fixed by facing it again and again. Then in college I use to proactively nominate myself for presentations on various topics. I also engaged myself in Marketing and Relation cell of Incord(Annual Tech Fest Of HBTI Kanpur) which involved interaction with a lot of people and convincing them to invest their money in our event which is definitely a hard nut to crack. My participation in Relation cell also helped me a lot which involved interacting with alumni of our college and ask them to participate in the college event. With......

Is My House My Home?

...Goguen 1 Evangeline Goguen Professor Laurie Cooper English 1041 15 October 2013 Is My House My Home? For as long as I can remember I’ve lived in the same 100 year old house. It was the place where I experienced so many firsts: my first play date, my first sleepover, my first kiss, and my first heartbreak. I never thought I’d be excited to leave, but as the years passed, that house didn’t feel like home anymore. The house sat on 5 acres of land; I had a view of the field in the backyard from my bedroom window. I would sit and stare at the long grass, as the wind would make it dance. The front flowerbeds were always weeded no matter how much it hurt my mother’s back. The pain was worth it to see the vibrant colors of spring’s first bloom. In the backyard, an old mice-infested barn that sat there uselessly was converted into a cottage. It was like a home away from home. Moving on to the inside of the house, through that annoying door that never closed properly, there was the kitchen. The yellow walls made the place seem cheerful and the cherry wood cabinets added some warmth. There was no dinning room; there was simply an eat-in kitchen. Many dinners, few that were satisfying, have been served on that glass top table. On the other side of the kitchen, two rocking chairs facing each other were placed beside the window. We were a family of three so it was a race to see who would have to pull up an extra chair. I always lost since I was the child. We had countless......

...years ago. The situation I was unfortunately faced with was the death of my husband. I was more or less in denial for a while of the problem. After sometime passed I sat down and thought to myself I have to face this, the biggest reason was for my daughter. I knew that I had to carry on with my life not just for myself but for her as well. After sitting down and realizing this isn’t going away and it’s not a bad dream I knew I had to confront the situation with all I had. This was not easy. I never thought I would have to confront such a problem. By confronting it I found even though it was painful it was helpful. I knew that until I confront this I can’t fix it. After what seemed took forever I came up with not necessarily a solution to what had happened but I figured out what I’m going to do from here on out. Moving forward was my biggest plan I knew there’s no going back and no point of dwelling on the past. I also found a way to handle the grief in a better way by joining support groups at the church. Being able to talk to other families that have lost loved ones or their spouses helped tremendously. The feeling that I wasn’t alone anymore was very comforting. My life started to look up again, my daughter and I moved into a new home and I focused a lot of my attention on that and I felt somewhat happy again and felt like I had something to look forward to and that was starting a new chapter with just my little girl and me. I found that I had a new perspective in life and......

...the people in the world today. Struggling to make ends meet because they either gave up on school or felt they were not capable of doing further education. I saw it firsthand with my own older brother. Thankfully he ended up pursuing his goal and finishing high school to enter the Marine Corps. He always said that decision was what saved his life from the inevitable chaos that was to bestow on him. However, my own learning situation started when I first graduated from military training and began technical school. I did not enjoy my job from the beginning because I knew what was waiting for me once I got to my duty station. In all honesty, my job is terrible when you compare it to almost any other job besides a select few. There is a lot of rules and regulations you must memorize and supervision is abysmal. Technical school was a little bit of a struggle when it came time for me to show certain things because I had zero interest and zero motivation to do it. I had problems back at home with my mother’s health deteriorating and someone telling me how much the real job is going to suck once I start. I failed my hands on portion and failed a block test as well but redid both and passed. There are a couple things I could have done differently like not listen to what anybody has to say and find out on my own for it to be true. Which I eventually did but it would have benefited me in technical school at least. I could have also at least tried to take somewhat of an interest in it......

...Tracy Thompson EXP 105 Essay Explaining learning to someone who has not taken this class yet is quite simple. Learning is simply taking something unknown and being able to use and apply it to something in your daily life. My views of learning has expanded, because it has taught me how to learn better and expanded on my thought process on how to absorb information better for my learning style. I still feel my definition is the same looking back at week one but to add to that it must be catered to your own personal learning style in order to be a successful learner. In terms of learning I typically Use First my technical reasoning learning pattern, because I like to try to figure things out on my own first. Then if I need to, I use my precise learning pattern and ask questions or seek help for my professor or other resources. I tend to use my sequence often as well making sure I am organized and staying on task. Confluence helps me to brainstorm and get my creative juices flowing. It also helps me to piece the information that I have learned together because I am learning in my own way. These are my learning pattern scores, sequence 27, precise 23, technical 31 and confluent 27. Sequence, technical and confluent are my Use First level of use and Precise is Use as needed, with these scores I am considered a Strong Willed Learner. My strategy is simple, dive right in. ...falls through air, it usually encounters some degree of air resistance. Air resistance is the result of collisions of the object's leading surface with air molecules. The actual amount of air resistance encountered by the object is dependent upon a variety of factors. To keep the topic simple, it can be said that the two most common factors that have a direct effect upon the amount of air resistance are the speed of the object and the cross-sectional area of the object. Increased speeds result in an increased amount of air resistance. Increased cross-sectional areas result in an increased amount of air resistance. WORK,POWER,AND ENERGY OBJECTIVES: 1. To know how work, energy, and power relates to everyday’s life. 2. To determine my power requirement for climbing a staircase - both by walking and by running. INTRODUCTION: When a force acts upon an object to cause a displacement of the object, it is said that work was done upon the object. There are three key ingredients to work - force, displacement, and cause. In order for a force to qualify as having done work on an object, there must be a displacement and the force must cause the displacement. There are several good examples of work that can be observed in everyday life - a horse pulling a plow through the field, a father pushing a grocery cart down the aisle of a grocery store, a freshman lifting a backpack full of books upon her shoulder, a weightlifter lifting a barbell above his head, an Olympian launching......
