Rapport feltukurs 13.september

Hensikt: Hensikten med dette feltkurset var å se hvordan ytre krefter har påvirket landskapet i Morfjorden og i Vaterfjorden.

Post 1

...Amos Darowksi BIB329NA Prof. Jeffrey Garcia The Signs of the Messiah The central theme of the Old Testament Holy Books is the coming of the Messiah and the establishment of the Kingdom of God among people. Despite their great antiquity, the Old Testament prophecies have in no way lost their actuality. They help the believing person to understand their faith more deeply and fully. To the unbelieving person, they serve as proof of the existence of God and His participation in human life. Just the fact that the prophets could prophesy the occurrences of the future, with such accuracy and with such detail, hundreds and thousands of years in advance, gives witness that God spoke through them. The goal of the Old Testament prophecies was to prepare the Jews, and through them all of mankind, for the coming of the Savior of the world, so that when He came, He could be recognized and they would believe in Him. However, the task of the prophets was difficult for several reasons. First of all, the Messiah was to be not only a great person, but at the same time God. For this reason, the prophets were faced with the task of revealing the Godly nature of the Messiah, but in such a way, that it did not give rise to polytheism, to which ancient people were so prone, Jews included. Secondly, the prophets had to show that the work of the Messiah would consist not only of the external improvements of living conditions but more importantly the goal of His coming into the......

...the slaves. Caribbean history for cxc, Provisions grounds were poor lands on the plantation given to the slaves so that they may grow their own food, working the ground in whatever free time they were given and on Sundays. This was meant to decrease the cost of feeding the enslaved population- if slaves produced their own food it would cost the planters less than if they had to import food from aboard. According to claypole and robottom the workyard stood in the middle of the cane fields. The work yard consisted of the mill, boiling house, curing house, distillery, trash house, and workshops for skilled craftsmen like blacksmiths and carpenters. Everyone has their own personal outlook on life. Some people feel like money and success bring them happiness, others feel like love is all they need. As Aristotle once said, "Happiness is believed to be the most desirable thing in the world..." (Aristotle) Everyone wants different things. I however, feel like you don’t need a lot to be happy in life, it’s the little things that count. Having your family and friends, and people who care about you, falling in love and having that person with whom you can disclose your trust with, helping other people and putting them before yourself, expressing your feelings and emotions, and living your life to the fullest every single day are all my ideas of reaching ultimate happiness. You learn from the experiences and events you go through, if you don’t take the risk, you’ll never learn to fall. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a family who cares about them, or friends who would do anything for you. Luckily, I have both of these in my life. Even though I do not always get along with my family, I still love them, and they love me. We all want what’s best for each......

Sign Miracles

...Sign Miracles In the book of John, John demonstrates the Deity of Jesus. Thought there are 34 miracles recorded in the four Gospels, John only talks about eight, to illustrate Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of God. One of the first miracles Jesus performed was when he turned water into wine at the wedding. This miracle demonstrates the seeds of the move from law to grace. When Jesus arrived at the wedding his mother, Mary, came to him and told Him they were out of wine. Elmer Towns said that Mary asked Jesus this because she knew that her son was Divine and was able to do something about it. When she asked and after Jesus told her his time had not yet come, he instructed them to fill six pots with water, which he miraculously changed to the best wine they had ever tasted. Mary told them to do whatever Jesus asked you to do. Leon Morris wrote, “The changing of water into wine is surely meant to bring out the power of Jesus to bring about a new beginning. There is a correlation between the best wine they ever had, to the best life they will ever have if they would make Jesus their Lord. Lean Morris puts it like this, “the water of Judaism into the wine of Christianity, the water of Christlessness in the wine of the richness and the fullness of eternal line in Christ, the water of the law into the wine of the gospel. When Jesus turned the water into wine, it showed His power over all creation, and His Divinity. Jesus next sign was the healing of the Nobleman’s......

...Example of Analysis Management Contro Starbucks Made by: Miguel Figueiredo 150109127 1- What are the benefits and dangers of focusing strongly on growth as the only purpose of an organisation? The benefits are: With a dividend payout ratio of 0% the starbucks company wish to invest all the profit into growth and being able to provide “The Starbucks experience” With this focus on growth the company will have an increase in sales and in brand awareness making this brand more popular and attractive to customers and creating some sort of loyalty. With no dividends the shareholders will win with the growth because of the increase in capital value. With higher growth the company will achieve more economies of scale and with globalization they will probably learn and have to adapt their coffees to some cultures thus having in the future the best coffee of each culture available worldwide for example. The dangers are: The growth of the company may decrease it's quality control thus eliminating “The Starbucks experience”, without this differenciating aspect Starbucks may loose it's share to some strong competitors, leading to the erosion of the brand which is really bad. Having no dividends the shareholders might become sceptic about the growth rate...
