It includes articles for lifestyle, fashion, health, what’s hip and happening around South Africa and a super awesome fan page with a letter from the editor in every amazing issue. The editor and the Seventeen staff are very much like the Seventeen readers themselves. That is young, hip, fashionable and ready to take on the world as young powerful women ready for any action the world has to offer them. Seventeen writers also work to inspire young women and teach young teenage girls about life and issues that they would be too afraid to ask their parents about. Seventeen magazine acts as a learning tool in the life of a young South African woman and headstrong teenager that is more than ready to learn about everything happening around her. This magazine also works on a very social friendly environment in every aspect. It is non-bias to race, religion, culture gender or age. The topic that will be discussed is the confusing relationship that you have with your ex-boyfriend filled with mixed signals and uneasy emotions. Most women can relate to this topic. The Reason That I Fall in Love with My Girlfriend from the Psychology Concept

...Analysis the reason that I fall in love with my girlfriend from the psychology concept Recently, I got a lovely girlfriend. We feel so happy and sweet in this relationship. Some people believe that having close relationship because of sentimental fate. But I think this is not only fate. Now I am going to explore the reasons using the idea of interpersonal attraction. I think many different types of theories of interpersonal attraction can explain about close relationship in my life. The interpersonal relationship is the need of some affiliation to keep relationship with friend or family. We seek people with some similar situation for the relationship. Interpersonal attraction is that we like those who give us maximum rewards at minimum cost .The first factor of reward theory affecting interpersonal attraction is proximity. By definition, it means the degree to which people are geographically close to one another, plays a central role in determining who we like. (Robert S. Feldman, 1992, p.199). Now I will apply the factors to check the relationship between my girlfriend and me. We met in a Japanese restaurant, Watami in this summer holiday. We worked in the same restaurant and we are also part time waiters. Now we study in the same school. I guess that there is an opportunity for us to develop a close relationship. It is because we could meet each other easily and quickly. Also, it is easy for us to find the subject to chat. It can make our relationship closer.......

...The Shahada is the gnosis of God and all his messenger(s). It is to accept the one and only Almighty Creator and his last messenger Mohammed (peace upon him). The concept of one God is called Tawheed. Importance of shahada it is enough to say that you have reached the side of safety. When someone says that ‘I am a Muslim’ it means he or she accepted and admitted Kalimat at-Tawheed, Kalimat ash-Shahada, "ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah". To become a Muslim means accept the shahada, or else you are not a Muslim. By saying "I am a Muslim" you have passed the first level. Then you have to go to the second level. It means you have said, "O Allah I admit that you are the Creator and I am your slave." Slave, not servant. Many of these theoretical outlooks have dominated the field at certain......

Christianity Turning the Other Cheek

...men find faith in Christ and by loving your enemies you show them Gods love and hope they can find their own faith. If Jesus had not set such a sacrificial precedent for Christians to follow, God would not show men forgiveness or an eternal life and it would be in the nature of Christians to retaliate against their enemies rather than nobly turning the other cheek. On January 20th, 2012 it was a dark cold winter night and my friend and teammate Pete was driving home from AMC 24 with his girlfriend Caroline after seeing Contraband. It is around 11:30pm as Pete pulls out of the theatre lot in his silver 99’ Jeep Cherokee. Pete pulls onto the highway after a few blocks and drives four miles before getting off at exit 11. He pulls off the exit and accelerates through a green light at 30mph when a black Lincoln Navigator runs a red light at 40mph into Pete’s driver side door and completely flips Pete’s car onto its side. Pete was killed on impact and his girlfriend Caroline went into a coma for 5 days. One of my good friends that I had played baseball with for 3 years was killed by a drunk driver that night. Upon hearing about this I was in a state of absolute shock, completely numb and feeling empty inside. I then shortly became consumed by anger and a rage building inside of me. For weeks I pictured horrific scenarios of involving me killing the murderer who took away a close friend of mine. The emotional pain I suffered during this time was pretty overwhelming; I......

...of jail. Immediately the mood in the group changes and everyone gets uncomfortable in Combo’s company. Combo expresses a lot of racist views and is a hardcore nationalist and he tries to force his views upon the other members of the group. This leads to the group of skinheads splitting up because not everybody is a part of the group for the same reason as Combo. Shaun stays on Combo’s side for his political views, which Shaun feels like he can relate to because of his father’s involvement in the Falklands War. Woody doesn’t join Combo’s side and his girlfriend, Lol, follows Woody. Combo is also in love with Woody’s girlfriend, Lol, which happened after they had sex a few years before when Lol was very drunk. Lol rejects him, which leads to Combo getting depressed. Later Combo and Shaun take Milky to the hospital. The movie ends with a scene of Shaun walking along the beach with his Saint George Flag, a symbol for the nationalists, which was gifted from Combo. Shaun then throws the Saint George Flag into the sea, ending the movie. The community of the movie seems to be very mixed. From Memoir to Movie, an Artist's Vision of Hope

...Trevor Belnap Eng 272 Desi Poteet 12/09/2011 From Memoir to Movie, An Artist’s Vision of Hope “I don’t like the word no. And you know, if you declare something so, it can be. And so, I don’t see there’s any reason to accept things the way they are,” declared Julian Schnabel, acclaimed painter and director. Schnabel is the director of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, a film based on the memoir written by Jean-Dominique Bauby. Bauby’s memoir is his story of finding meaning and joy in a seemingly hopeless reality. Bauby suffered a massive paralyzing stroke at the age of 43. He awakes from his coma weeks later to find he is paralyzed. The only parts of his body that he can control are his eyes. To prevent his right eye from becoming septic, the doctors sew it up, making the blinking of his left eye Bauby’s only method of communication. The death of Schnabel’s father, the location of the filming, and creative departure from the actual text are elements that helped shape the movie. Schnabel uses his experience as an artist and human being to make choices that take the story from pages of Jean-Dominique’s memoir to movie screen. In 2003, Schnabel’s father, Jack, became terminally ill with cancer and came to live with Schnabel and his family. Jack had never been sick in his life and was horrified of death. During the time his father was with him, Schnabel was sent the script for The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. “I wanted to help my father not to be scared......
