-Cisco contaba con colaboradores fuertes, un equipo con experiencia. El factor humano es clave
-La necesidad misma de contar con el ERP
-Análisis completo de los prerrequisitos de la empresa y contrastación de estos con los diferentes productos del mercado para seleccionar el que más se adaptara a las necesidades iniciales.
-La implicación de Oracle, entendiendo que es para ellos un proyecto clave que tienen que llevar al éxito a cualquier precio.

-Planificación inicial y el análisis del alcance del proyecto, socios y proveedores


- Que existieran ya lazos con el proveedor de software (100% de implantación de Oracle en el nivel de bases de datos), y que éste tuviera fuerza en el mercado.

-El costo por los servicios de Oracle fueron bajos.


-Su estructura interna no era compatible con la implementación de un ERP ya que cada departamento dentro de la empresa era independiente
-El éxito de la aplicación ERP de Cisco dependía de un fuerte liderazgo, la planificación inteligente y un poco de suerte
-En el aspecto financiero no tomaron en cuenta los gastos de mano de obra excedente.


-Implantación “enseguida” y no gradual. Conlleva el riesgo de que el sistema no sea digerido por la empresa
