Comparison between MPN and E coli Petri film:
The use of E.coli petrifilm seems more reliable than MPN since the value of MPN is less than E.coli petrifilm in the same group. It showed that MPN method was underestimated the total coliform and E.coli numbers.
The Most Probable Number test methods described in this Practical provide guidelines for detection and enumeration of bacteria of food and water origin. Then we can prevent food borne infections and diseases occurring more commonly.
Disadvantages of MPN Techniques:
MPN procedure takes very long time for the confirmed test result. In MPN the results are probability calculations and cannot be accurate.MPN requires more glass wares and media. False positive results are of common occurrence.
Advantages of MPN Techniques:
Interpretation of the results requires minimal experience and training as results can be got by simply observing for the presence of gas or no gas. Also, water samples with high turbidity can be analyzed, since there is no apparent deleterious effect. Furthermore, because of the dilutions used in the range of 1:0 or 1:100, toxic substances present in the sample can be diluted out. Finally, MPN technique is the effective method for analyzing samples such as muds, sludges, sediments etc. Disadvantages of Petri film include:
There is no visual difference between the different kinds of bacteria growing on the Petri film and you can't do any testing on the colonies. No classifying as bacilli or cocci, no gram-staining, no isolating a single type of bacteria.

The advantages of Petri film include
Ready to use as it does not need preparation required. Also long shelf life when shielded from moisture and humidity .Furthermore, simple to use and interpret. Then, it is Built-in biochemical confirmation. Finally, it is smaller and less likely to be damaged than agar…...

Clostridium Botulinum Journal Review

...danger of infant botulism. Lastly, the short length of journal makes it more preferable to read than a lengthy journal. On the other hand, the main journal (Saraiva et. al., 2012) still has some disadvantages. The main disadvantage is the lack of information and further explanation provided in the journal, such as the lack of information and explanation about the laboratory assay, the result of the assay that lead to the conclusion provided, and the conclusion itself. If it is compared to the supporting journal, which is rich in information and explanation, this journal become weaker in terms of its use of scientific words. Moreover, the main journal lacks of tables, graphs, or any other details that are needed to support the result and disscusion. It can be seen from the supporting journals that each of them has at least one table that can help the reader to understand more about the topic discussed. Furthermore, the main journal does not explain about the type of Botulinum or making a comparison to the case of botulinum from other country, as it was explained and disscused in the supporting journal. There is also no discussion of the result gained from the experiment. The writer only provided a short elaboration of result but did not explain more about the importance of the result and further discussion. Lastly, there is no conclusion in this journal. Although the writer has provided how to prevent infant botulism, there is no sufficient conclusion, thus making it......

Place 25‐30 mL of vegetables oil in a 50mL beaker.) Turn on the hotplate and observe the melting point. Use a clean glass rod to stir the oil to ensure a uniform heat distribution. Record the melting point range (for example 70‐73°C) RESULTS The table shows about the experimental Boiling Point (BP) of Ethanol and Isopropyl Alcohol. TABLE ONE EXPERIMENTAL DATA SAMPLE BOILING POINT O C Ethyl Alcohol 78o C Isopropyl Alcohol 77OC TABLE TWO EXPERIMENTAL DATA This table two shows the experimental Melting Point (MP) of Urea and Benzoic Acid DISSCUSION The object of this experiment was to determine the physical properties of boiling point of ethyl alcohol and isopropyl alcohol. This experiment also targets the melting point of urea and benzoic acid. The results were obtained successfully. If the temperature is not monitored correctly there could be a huge source for error. It is difficult to add heat energy to a sample in a uniform fashion. This was done quite well in the melting point section of the experiment because the results are very close to the reference or handbook value. To achieve to accurate results the experiment could have been repeated a few more times and the results average. The melting point of the experiment was more difficult to perform because it......

Concept of perceptual defense in based on fact that subjects appear to show higher thresholds to taboo words and that automatic responses to such words may be made before they are correctly recognized. Perceptual defense is a topic which has stimulated investigations because of its relevance to personality and perceptual theory. The first of these explanations points to inhibitions as the determinant of perceptual defense. CONCLUSION: The experimenter concludes that the subject can answer fast the stimulus......
