The University of Phoenix has many tools available. The tool I used recently was in the career builder and in the section of competencies. By using this tool if found I had a very high ability to adapting to change. To me this will help my critical thinking because I know how to look for many different types of media to look at when doing research. I think that being in classes that are only five weeks long means that I will be able to adapt a lot faster and get into the swing of things. I scored medium to high in all the other sections of the competencies. This means I can handle networking, organizing, strategizing, innovating, and delivering results in a good way. By not being at the highest point on the list lets me know there is always room for improvement. I think there is always a way to include all these skills in critical thinking. By doing that you can make sure you are getting all the information you need or will know where to find it. The quality of the work will then show how well you used each one of these skill sets. By knowing my competencies I can be able to make better arguments. A good point to make would be not backing down in what I choose to stand behind. Not just sounding passionate about something but being able to provide evidence to support what I am either writing about or sharing in another form will be very important. I will know I have used my critical thinking skills to provide a clear understanding and be able support an argument. I will be able to support any decisions I choose to make, so if I head down one path and ask me why I will be able to tell you without hesitation. By thinking critically I will be able to provide a clear presentation on how and where I got all my information. This is critical because if you go into anything and can’t prove your evidence, you…...

...Executive Summary When considering a career path, one can feel overwhelmed by the various choices. In order to narrow down the choices, some well-meaning friend will tell you, “do what you love”, while another will say, “choose a career that will pay a lot of money”. These cause conflict in an individual’s career pathway. Some individual would prefer working for a good pay career rather than working for a job which satisfies them and make them happy. In vice versa, there are individuals who work on what they love to do and not for the money. There have been research which was done by Handerson on year 2011; he stated that people whom work they love to do have prosper in terms on money as well as happiness. It might be a late start but yet it profits at the end of the day. There are some people whom work for money, gets frustrated at one point of time on their life and lives an unhealthy lifestyle despite having money.  Introduction In life there are three stages which determine the career pathway of an individual. Based on that, the stages are, childhood, teenager life and as well as adulthood. Career pathway starts from teenager life itself. From then, it moves on to the adulthood whereby that’s the time an individual would implement what is learned on teenager life to a real working life. That is when exactly it moves on to career pathway of a person. Career pathway is a pathway for a new movement in life. It’s a huge decision making term for an individual. A person......

The last job that I found on My Careers off of MyLife.com is a Chiropractor, it is actually the job that I have been looking into since literally third grade, don’t ask why or how I even knew what a Chiropractor even was at that age but I did and I’ve been determined ever since that, that is what I was going to do with my life. At some colleges they have Pre-Chiropractic degree plans that you can receive your bachelor’s degree in then proceed to get your doctorate degree from any licensed chiropractic college in the United States where you will be practicing medicine. The national annual salary is $80,390 and changes drastically from state to state. Not only have I always wanted to be a chiropractor but also I’ve had this dream of opening a spa that is only for holistic types of medicines and remedies. Since owning and managing businesses is something that seems to run in our family it would allow me to fit right in. I would have my business strive and grow into something that made more people curious about holistic medicine and the want for a healthy lifestyle, without controlled medicines or even medicines that......

...Plan for Recruiting and Training Correctional Staff Patricia Saylor Dexter Levin Corrections November 24, 2013 With the increased growth in the level of lawbreakers and the high level of inmates in jails and correctional facilities in proportion to the shortage in correction officers, there has been a growing need for recruitment of more professional correctional staff to help in curbing this issue. With this in mind, the position that the State Director of Corrections will hold shall entail a number of responsibilities. One among the greatest ones will be coming up with a plan for recruiting and training correctional officers. Correctional officers are part of the criminal justice system where their work deals with overseeing arrested individuals who are awaiting trial or overseeing inmates. Planned recruitment and training will ensure continuity and professionalism in the practice leading to enhanced public safety, respect for all humans and upholding of their rights and more sound correctional practices in communities enhancing the community’s faith in the law. Effective management of policies will result in saving of finances, since trained officers will know how to deal with situations better hence lowering the level of injuries incurred at work. Good management policies will result in improvement of correctional officers’ performance, since better terms of work will be adapted thus increasing the officers’ morale to work. ...Plan The purpose of the paper is to provide an overview of marketing plans. I will do this first by providing the definition of marketing plans. I will discuss how a marketing plan helped make a product or service successful. I will also discuss how decisions in a marketing plan led to failure; I will analyze what was the difference in two examples. Next, I will provide a movie that was considered a box office failure. I will apply what I have learned about the concept of marketing plans, and what could have gone wrong in the studio’s plan with regard to forecasting demand for the project. ...The Plan Obama’s ceremonial swearing-in at the U.S. Capitol was filled with traditional pomp and pageantry. Obama swore in January 21, 2013 for the public. He delivered a speech that previewed the priorities that he intends to pursue for his second-term (Tribune Newspaper, n.d.). His priorities include things like: gun rights, budget plans, and jobs for America. Obama is calling to give a fair shot to the middle class (Dorning, 2013). The Affordable Care Act is also in his plan for the next four years. Obama propose the “The Budget Plan”. Jobs for America, the middle class, and affordable care were discussed in this plan. Amy Goodman stated, “President Obama has unveiled a budget plan seeking to trim the federal deficit by cutting or eliminating over 200 federal programs, many dedicated to social services and education.” The Budget was a $3.7 trillion proposal that would cut funding in half for the IHEAP (Income Home Energy Assistance Program). This program subsidizes heating costs for low-income Americans. President Obama called for a freeze on annual domestic spending over the next few years. The Budget Plan also calls for cutting $300 million from community development block grants. Obama’s plan includes two modest tax hikes for banks and oil companies. However, the Budget does not only include those things. The Budget implements the tight discretionary spending caps that Obama signed into law in the Budget Control Act of 2011. Barack also wanted to limit an expansion......
