...3-1 Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) is a massive software architecture that supports the communication in a business; that deals with all aspects of a business including sales, marketing, planning and manufacturing.ERP also has been used to assist in inventory control, order tracking, customer service, finance and human resources. ERP systems improve the speed and performance of communication between departments. For example, the financial department can now coordinate with the ordering process of materials in a manufacturing company. This allows those ordering to understand the available money they can use to purchase things. This is much faster then taking the orders to the financial department to check if these purchases can get the go-ahead. The positives to implementing an ERP system are as follows: the ability to effortlessly communicate information across various departments improves efficiency, performance and productivity, improves forecasting and ability to plan for problems or success, and improves customer satisfaction and customer service. The negatives of implementing an ERP system are as follows: customization can be limited, current business process might need to change to fit the ERP system, can be extremely expensive, continuing technical support, and they may be too permanent for new companies or business that are going to be changing. 3-2 A supply chain is a system of organizations, people, technology, information and resources involved in moving a......

...[Type the company name] | Menu Creation | Week 3 Lab | | | 11/15/2014 | Is it healthy? Is it lathered in grease and fat? Let’s take a look at a fast food restaurant and see. | For my chosen fast food restaurant, I chose Carl’s Jr. I made a healthy and unhealthy meal from the menu available. For the healthy meal, I chose a Charbroiled Atlantic Cod Fish sandwich, a small serving of sweet potato fries, a strawberry swirl cheesecake and a bottle of water. From the given items, I believe this was the healthiest, including all protein, carbohydrates and dietary fiber. Total Meal Nutrition * Calories – 1040 * Calories from fat – 400 * Fat – 44g * Saturated Fat – 14mg * Trans fat – 0g * Cholesterol – 90mg * Protein – 29g * Sodium – 1600mg * Carbohydrates – 131g * Dietary Fiber – 9g * Sugars – 49g While this meal has quite a bit of sodium, it has fewer calories than most other meals. This meal has a bit cholesterol and sugar, but when compared to cheeseburgers and cookies, this meal shows the healthy side. Instead of choosing a salad, I believe a cod fish sandwich was a better choice because of the protein. A full meal includes some form of protein, but with a salad, you would be missing out on the needed protein. While this meal has a lot of sodium, I believe all the nutrients balance themselves out for a rounded balanced meal. Of course fast food is going to be slightly higher with sodium, calories, and carbs,......

It is important for us to learn about this subject. Child abuse and neglect occurs in all socioeconomic families as well as in child care programs. It is more prevalent than you may think, and you may be the only person in a position to intervene. You have not only a moral obligation to intervene, but as we will discuss, you have a legal obligation to report it. What are the patterns and characteristics you would look for during the screening of family members of a potential abused or neglected child? When screening family members they may show signs such as blames or belittles child or may talks about child as bad or evil. The family member may smell of alcohol/drugs or seems to be under the influence. If the family member fails to keep appointments or seems unconcerned with child could be because they are guilty of abusing the child and are trying to avoid the situation. If the family member mentions financial problems or talks about divorce, death, or illness, this could be the problems that the abuse stems from. ...off of the ground because of the nutrient-poor soil, limited sunlight, and small amount of rain that reaches the ground. 2. What changes happening in Madagascar are posing challenges for lemurs? Give details about the sources, time scale, and types of change. Climate, logging and hunting are changes to the environment that pose challenges for lemurs. Loggers move into the area and remove trees that provide housing and food for these mammals. There are many lemur species that are negatively affected by these changes. One specific species of lemur (bamboo lemur) identified in the video could become extinct. Their diet is so specific that a reduction or elimination of their food source could be an end to their existence. 3. Which types of lemurs are adapting to the changes? Which types of lemurs are not adapting well? Why? The ring-tailed lemur is adapting to the changes in the environment. They adjust to secondary habitats and do not have to spend too much time searching for food substitutes. They have learned to make use of the foods brought in by their human neighbors. Sifaka is a lemur species that does not adapt well to changes. They use trees to travel throughout their habitat, but when the trees are gone they are unable to travel successfully from home to food and water sources. Burnout Bshs 362 Week 3

...Paper on Burnout Matthew Bradley BSHS 462 January 9, 2012 Patti Williams Paper on Burnout Professional burnout is defined as “the state of physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion caused by long-term involvement in emotionally demanding situations” (James, 2008, p. 531). The service provider may have a variety of physical, mental, and emotional signs and symptoms signaling the onset of burnout. The physical symptoms may include feelings of depletion and exhaustion without underlying illness, lowered immune responses, and increased episodes of headaches and minor illnesses. Emotionally the provider may have feelings of hopelessness and helplessness, poor self-efficacy and self-image, and overall pessimism that were not present before. James (2008) reports 6 main individual, cultural, organizational, supervisory and social support factors that set service providers on the course for burnout: role ambiguity, role conflict, role overload, inconsequentiality, isolation, and autonomy. Providers, supervisors, and organizations may create role ambiguity by not clearly establishing the providers’ rights, responsibilities, procedures, goals, status, and accountability measures. Cultural expectations may blur these lines for individuals, as well. Cultural and moral upbringing may also cause role conflicts when the expectations of supervisors, organizations, or society conflict with the provider’s values and ethics. When providers have excessive service demands in the areas......
