...1,000 80 1,080 1,000 The amount of cash received each period less this reported income is assumed to represent a return of the amount invested in the lease (equal to the cost of the product). Therefore, if an equal cash rental is received each year, an increasing amount would be reported as a return of the investment. Although this return of the investment is not generally referred to as depreciation, the effect is the same and an allocation procedure is required. ... Yuting Hung(Janice) EAP 152-300 Christine Discoe Summary/Response Summary: According to the article” Can U.S Remain an Island of Stability in the Global Economy?”, Niel Irwin (2016) describes the status of global economy, which is currently in an unstable situation this year. Nonetheless, opposite to that gloomy background, U.S. economy is keeping nearly upright in this chaotic world. To illustrate, the author further uses several examples to prove that the United State has shown their unexpected tendency to survive even benefit aboard whiling other countries were facing the economy recession. For instance, the annual unemployment rate of America stayed near the lowest level in four decades, and the forecast manifested by International Monetary Fund indicated that American stock market indexes, in spite of the global sell-off, remain at relatively steady levels. On the other hands, Irwin also makes his own predictions about the future obstacles for America. In his words, either the U.S. keeps acting as an island of economic, or the situation goes down that no longer to sustain its domestic economy order, the negative impact will be generated, such as rapid appreciation of currency as well as the constantly growing debts. As a result, Irwin suggests that the best way to improve global economy is depend on the efforts contributed by the rest of world rather than by U.S.’s. Response: In my opinion, I agree with the author’s final analysis of not relying America as the last......
