The weather is magnificent, the coastlines are great with swaying palm trees & gentle breezes. Place You Must Not Miss In Goa In addition to the beaches, Dui is also popular for the diverse cuisines available here. Whatever you prefer, be it cheeseburger or Italian meals or even a simple burger, there are lots of restaurants for you to decide from. By far the most popular bistros are the ones which serve local Goan delicacies. My family and I usually make a trip to Goa every year. This year we discovered an amazing coffee shop - Wok and Roll. Do not let the name fool you, it serves, perhaps, the best south east Asian food in Asia. It's near the Taj Village in Vagator. They have a well stocked bar & the snacks are particularly good. The staff is friendly and in addition helpful with suggestion. Do look it up the next occasion you are in Kerala. A truly special experience is the Samson Treehouse Café; what make it really special is that the cafe is built on hardwood tree. Located in the Vagator area, the simple bamboo & thatched roof lets the sun illuminates the place. The specialty of the house is their cheese ham burger, but you can also taste some of their sandwich's as well. Once you are done with your lunch, the pancakes are a must. Make sure you get there early, as this is a very popular place and it tends to get full very fast. The moment you wake up, head straight to Lovola's, on Baga beach. It is a huge shack and is located on the beach. You can order eggs as per your preference and in addition go for a quick dip in the sea while your dishes is being prepared. Make sure that you're not in a hurray as the service here is very slow. You have a choice of continental as well as republic of india breakfast. They also serve a variety of…...

Work Out Method

...The making of an action hero body Personal trainer to the stars shares his 4-day split workout program by Michael Torchia Special to TODAYshow.com updated 6/21/2010 8:50:37 AM ET When I was hired to train an actor for an action film, the studio executives would express how important it was to transform their body so they looked like an action hero. That's why I made the decision to utilize the same method of dieting and training I used to win many of my champion body building competitions. Matt Damon and Kevin Spacey were extremely excited to work with me, which made my job a lot easier than it had been with some of my other celebrity clients. I have the actors do weight training in the morning and cardio at night. The purpose of separating the weight training and cardiovascular training for 6 to 9 hours is because weight training causes the body to secrete anabolic hormones (muscle building) and cardiovascular exercises cause the body to secrete catabolic hormones (fat burning). This way my client got the most effective results from their workouts and fast results. I always included stretching after weight training and cardio sessions to improve flexibility. WEIGHT TRAINING SESSION (* — increase weight each set) Monday – Abs/Biceps/Triceps Abdominal Crunches - 3x50 Hanging Leg Raises – 3x30 Hyper Extensions – 3x25 Seated Dumbbell Curls – 3x15/12/10 * Standing Barbell Curls – 3x15/12/10 * Standing Cable Curls – 3x15/12/10 * Tricep Cable Pushdowns –......

Five Tips to Make Your Resume Stand Out

...Five tips to make your résumé stand out Now that you know you have approximately 60 seconds to impress an employer, you better make sure that your résumé is the best possible representation of you and your achievements. Here are five tips to help you produce an effective résumé: 1. Include a career summary at the top of your résumé You only have a matter of seconds -- a minute if you're lucky -- to impress a human resource or hiring manager with your résumé. Don't make them search for the important material. By including a career summary at the top, it will give managers an immediate snapshot of your skills and accomplishments. 2. Keep it up to date No matter the state of the economy, you should always have a recent résumé and portfolio on hand. Fifty percent of the 8,038 employees surveyed by CareerBuilder.com said their résumés aren't up to date. Any time your responsibilities increase or you accomplish something significant, update your résumé with that information. You never know when you'll need to produce a current résumé. 3. Incorporate keywords Tracking systems are becoming increasingly popular to screen and weed out unqualified candidates. In fact, 51 percent of human resource managers report using them in the hiring process. To avoid the discard pile, integrate keywords from the job posting into your résumé. Doing so will heighten your chances of showing up near the top of the employer's ranking of the most relevant......

Taking the Chore Out of Holiday Shopping

...Taking the Chore Out of Holiday Shopping By Donna Geary Will the holiday shopper find what they are looking for quickly and easily in your store this season? According to a recent AC Neilson report, the number one customer motivator for selecting a retail store is the ease in finding what they need. Granted, many gift shoppers may not know exactly what they are looking for. That is – until your store ambience and impeccable merchandising stories inspire them. Or, perhaps your website can dish up some tantalizing suggestions that will send shoppers flocking to your location. Multi-channel influences are changing how customers shop and although on-line sales in the last year account for a mere 1% of the total dollars spent, consumers are using the internet to ‘look and see’ and the store to ‘touch and feel’ in about one out of every four purchase decisions. How can you take the chore out of shopping and make your store more touchy feely? The First Impression – A Theme There are only two types of customers out there – the one’s you already have and the one’s you don’t. Each of the two groups will form an immediate impression of your store from the first glance – whether it is an ad, your website or your storefront. The holidays are a good time to step back and see if your first impression is communicating consistently. Remember also, that word-of-mouth advertising is the best (and least expensive) way to get your existing customers ‘talking up’ your store with......

Planning Your Holidays

...Planning the holidays Let me present some reflections on the issue that, I dare say, must be the most exciting for majority of ordinary people, who spend the most of their lives (from 5 to 7 days a week) working and then have a couple of weeks of holiday in summer months (if they have luck). It is planning holidays. In our modern world we can refer to a lot of travel agents, who’ll try to help us choose the best variant for our holiday among infinite multitude of different destinations, tours and travelling programs. It is convenient on the one hand if one has financial opportunity and a willing to trust the planning of their holidays to a manager of a travel agency. He may offer the tourist any kind of a tour according to their wish. To my mind, the most all-embracing and effective way from the informative, cultural point of view is to go on a tour to a foreign countries (or even the places in your country you have never been to) with a bunch of people you don’t know (and even may not like). Joining such tour is a good idea, because it’s rather hard for an average tourist to get around on their own. Some tourists like to make their way around leisurely to see the sites, they don’t like the fast pace of tours, they’d rather have the time to take in each site, not rush through it just to take a picture and say “I’ve been there”. But tours come in all shapes and sizes; one can find the exact offer that isn’t too fast-paced or strenuous. Some tourists...

Ethical Dilemma: 8 Men Out

...Ethical Dilemma: 8 Men Out After watching the film 8 Men Out, the ethical dilemma became very clear as to what happened in the 1919 World Series. The ethical dilemma was the decision of whether or not to accept payment from gambling boss’s to intentionally lose 5 games during the World Series. Obviously the amount the 8 players were offered was greater than the salaries they were paid to play all year. If they could each make $10,000 in 5 games just to loose, why not? The ethical decisions the players made affected everyone around them and resulted in a soiled reputation for the players who accepted the terms as well as players who remained true to their contract. The decision to throw 5 of 8 games during the World Series relates very well to business and accounting. This decision by the 8 players illustrates how they value their own integrity. The 1919 Chicago White Sox were said to be the greatest baseball team ever assembled in the history of baseball. The problem was that the team owner, Charles Comisky, was too greedy to pay the players in accordance with their talent over other teams in the league. The players and their decisions could be compared to that of any employee in business or accounting because every individual has a reputation to rely on. The decisions you make could change the rest of your life. I have always been raised to do the best job I can possibly do and the players for the white sox were too. The players were fully aware that what they were doing......

Out Sourcing Your Privacy

...| Outsourcing your Privacy | | | 4/20/2014 | Business Law Final | | Perhaps BPO is more of a threat than the NSA, when it comes to Privacy! | Outsourcing your Privacy Business Law Final Webster’s dictionary defines privacy as freedom from unauthorized intrusion. The meaning of what privacy is to an extent is driven by the society and its moral norms. Reasonable expectations of privacy in public places must change as our social environment changes. As moral and social norms change in a society the expectation from an individual towards society changes and thereby the individual’s privacy values. For example, slavery was an accepted practice in the late 19th century; today it’s not in practice. In the current information technology age, when an individual submits his personal information for purchasing merchandise online, it is within his expectation that his personal information be protected by the website. In future with the increasing use of technology in the day to day activities, new issues of privacy will arise making today’s notions of privacy out of date. One such issue is the privacy of personal information in business process outsourcing. Business process outsourcing (BPO) is the process of contracting a specific business task to a third-party service provider. There are two categories of BPO. Back office outsourcing constitutes the outsourcing of internal business functions such as purchasing or billing. Front office outsourcing constitutes the......

Education Comes Out of More Than Books

...“Education comes out of more than just books”. Education is not merely the knowledge that books give to a student in school or college; in fact it is a whole lot more. Knowledge is defined as expertise, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education(Rosa K. , 2009) . So do the accumulated knowledge skills and values come from learning subjects such as history, algebra, statistics etc.? Does learning those subjects give you experiences, does it give you practical knowledge, or moreover does it give you the skills of socializing with people having different attributes? The answer to all these complicated questions is a simple no and therefore some people believe that education is much more than learning subjects. Yes education is more than learning subjects, for the following reasons: • It does not give you past experiences • It does not give you practical knowledge • Education might not enhance your ideas but may surely overpower them. Agreed education has to start somewhere but that does not mean that wisdom comes from mugging up hundred or two hundred text books, wisdom comes from experiences, awareness and logical thinking. By simply mugging up pages of theories right before an exam or test does not help because neither is one gaining any sort of knowledge nor is one gaining any experience out of it. It is like eating and then spitting it out. For instance: for subjects such...

Step Out Your Comfort Zone

...that great change can happen. In the Book of Genesis, Noah was building an ark for the great flood that was coming forewarned by God (Noah's Ark). Instead of doubting God and being afraid to do the abnormal, Noah built his ark and waited on God to do the rest. He probably had his doubts, but he knew with confidence what was in store for obeying the command of God. In comparison to Noah, children who take risks and step out of their comfort zones grow to be confident and charismatic individuals. The ability to reach higher heights on a jungle gym and swinging across monkey bars pushes children to go beyond their capabilities and go from ordinary to extraordinary. Overall, today’s children have nothing on past generations’ childhoods. They are not allowed to make mistakes, get scratches, or catch colds without their parents losing their nerve. Without allowing kids to experience risks, they never succeed. They will always wonder what could have been if they had tried. Mr. Tierney’s article teaches us to let kids be kids. So, I encourage all with children to let your kids make mistakes and fall down. That is the only way they will learn how to get up on their own.   Works Cited "Noah's Ark." Book of Genesis. n.d. 8 Ways to Hook Your Audience

... TED Talk Takeaways: 8 Ways to Hook Your Audience TED Talk Takeaways: 8 Ways to Hook Your Audience By Gavin McMahon on July 30, 2014 | 8 Comments “You will live 7.5 minutes longer than you would have otherwise, just because you watched this talk.” This was the claim that video game designer Jane McGonigal presented to the crowd during her June 2012 TED talk. As the camera panned over the members of the audience, their faces showed universal skepticism: Was this lady serious? There was something else interesting about that crowd. Despite their doubtful visages, everyone in the audience was drawn in by McGonigal’s words. No one was checking their email, talking to their neighbor or looking at the camera circling in front of them; all eyes were fixated on the (potentially crazy) speaker. Great hooks, like McGonigal’s provocative opening statement, get audiences on the edge of their seats and give them a sense of what’s coming. They allow you to win a crowd’s attention right away and give you a legitimate chance to have a lasting impact. Consider the alternative: Have you ever witnessed a presentation where a colleague starts by saying something like, “OK, so we’re going to run through a few major takeaways from last quarter and hopefully be out of here within the hour?” Snooze! All that has you thinking about is whether you should go to the bathroom now or in 20 minutes. Starting your presentation in an unorthodox way provides your audience with a......
